Water Polo Queensland is hiring for a Head of Performance and Pathways. 

The Head of Performance & Pathways is employed to drive the development and implementation of the Performance and Pathway Framework for water polo in Queensland. This will involve oversight of the planning and development of performance and pathway programs for athletes and coaches, overseeing the WPQ Men’s Performance Program and representative programs and building the performance capability of athletes, coaches and Clubs and Associations across the State.

A key part of the role will include being Men's Performance Coach and Head Coach of the Qld Thunder Men's AWL program, which is seen as the pinnacle for male players within Queensland. The role will also oversee the coaching and development of all Nationally categorised male athletes in Queensland (most of whom will be in the Qld Thunder Squad) as well as developing emerging athletes and coaches.

The position will also manage the WPQ State Team program and WPQ Talent Development and Pathway programs, including regional areas. This will involve overseeing the WPQ Development Officer and establishing annual work plans for each region that is consistent with WPQ Strategic priorities.
