Water Polo Australia has created three fun and safe modified water polo packages to learn the basics of water polo in the school setting for students across Australia – regardless of their access to a pool!

Using the Water Polo Australia junior brand, FlippaBall, the FlippaSchools packages include lesson plans able to be delivered on land or in the pool.

Water polo is a healthy and safe option for young athletes who wish to play an aquatic team sport. The FlippaSchools program is a fun introduction to the sport of water polo and sessions will comprise of basic skill training and modified games. The program is aimed at improving children’s swimming ability and water confidence in a fun team sport environment.

All FlippaSchools content aims to teach essential life skills such as water safety, swimming and treading water, hand-eye coordination, cooperation, communication and confidence, through familiar group games and activity for juniors.

Water Polo Australia values the role of teachers not just in the classroom but in the school yard as well. Their enthusiasm for improving children’s lives is often understated. Society places its trust and confidence in teachers who as educators, have one of the most important roles for our children, outside of parents and carers.

Coaches are also a wonderful influence on children throughout their formative years. Coaches are the people who deliver the skills with fun and enjoyment.

The information below is a guide to how schools, coaches and sporting organisations can deliver the Water Polo Australia program within Sporting Schools.
