WPQ SENIOR COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS RETURN TO MACKAY IN 2026

Water Polo Queensland (WPQ) is excited to announce that the WPQ Senior Country Championships will return to Mackay from 13–15 February 2026, proudly supported by the Mackay Regional Council.
WPQ President Scott Bishton said regional water polo continues to play a vital role in the development and growth of the sport across Queensland.
“Having experienced regional water polo firsthand, including time spent playing in Mackay, it’s truly rewarding to see the city host for the second consecutive year. Mackay’s strong tradition in the sport continues to shine, thanks to the invaluable support of the Mackay Regional Council,” Mr Bishton said.
WPQ looks forward to building on past success and delivering an even bigger and better event in 2026.
