Water Polo Queensland Polo 5's

Water Polo Queensland (WPQ) is excited to again host the WPQ Polo 5's Competition. Following the success of the competition in 2020, WPQ will again run the Polo 5's Competition as a way to offer a short, fun, social competition for Seniors and those aged U18 years to get back into the pool.

The WPQ Polo 5's Competition will allow players both existing and new to the sport to participatein a semi-competitive competition

WPQ CEO Melanie Woosnam, said “following the resounding success of last year's WPQ Polo 5's competition which was part of our 'Return to Play' strategy, we wanted to offer this competition again as a way to get players back in the water, whether that be current, returning or new members. This year WPQ will be offering both a Senior and 18U Competition for men and women due to the demand in 2020 from younger age groups. This competition will provide a great opportunity for all players to play in an affordable, fun and social competition. The beauty of this competition is that teams can be club or association based or you can make your own team from a group of friends, family or work colleagues. New players can register under the Social Fee. The same Polo 5's rules will also be played at the upcoming Masters Pan Pacific Games in November on the Gold Coast; so this competition will be a great opportunity for players and teams to trial these rules before the event."

With the competition commencing July 19th and running for 7-weeks, this competition will offer the perfect opportunity for players to participate in a short, fun, modified competition.
