The Queensland water polo community is saddened by the loss of WPQ Life Member Sydney John Cluett.
Syd was an accomplished referee who officiated at the Australian Men’s Championships from 1963 to 1990 and successfully coached Tugan Water Polo Club 1st Grade Premier Team in the Brisbane Men’s Competition from 1973 to 1978. Syd also coached the Queensland Junior Men at the Australian Championships from 1973 to 1979 and was the head coach of the Australian U18 Men in 1978 & 1979.
A service celebrating Syd’s life will be held at the Mt Gravatt Cemetery on Thursday 28th July at 2:00pm, for those unable to attend KM Smith will provide a livestreaming link via their website .
