Water Polo Queensland is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from Community-Minded Volunteers to support the 2026 Queensland State Title Championships at the Sleeman Aquatic Centre, Chandler.
This iconic two-week event will showcase Queensland’s best young water polo talent:
📆 Week 1 | 12–15 January 2026: 18&U and 14&U age groups
📆 Week 2 | 17–20 January 2026: 16&U and 12&U age groups
Volunteer positions are non-accredited official roles, designed to engage members of the WPQ community, sport and event management students, and anyone eager to contribute to the success of this exciting event. Volunteers will support the critical work of our Technical Officials and Event Staff to ensure a safe, professional, and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Event Volunteer Roles include:
🎟️ Gate Entry: Assisting with spectator entry and event information
📋 Administration: Supporting the control room with results entry and event coordination
👚 Merchandise: Assisting with sales and customer service at the merchandise tent
🎪 General Event Assistance: Helping with equipment changes and event logistics
🏃♂️ Runners: Assisting WPQ staff and officials with communication and deliveries throughout the venue
All volunteers are required to hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check). If you do not currently hold one, information on how to apply will be provided upon registration.
No prior experience is required — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved!
