WATER POLO QUEENSLAND UNDER 12 SUNSHINE COAST COMPETITION ANNOUNCED

Water Polo Queensland (WPQ) is excited to announce the establishment of the new Water Polo Queensland Under 12 Sunshine Coast Competition. The competition will look to introduce new players to the sport in the Sunshine Coast Region. 

The competition aims to increase water polo participation in water polo whilst fostering the development of players, coaches, and officials.

The Water Polo Queensland Under 12 Sunshine Coast Competition will be based out of the St. Andrew's Anglican College Aquatic Centre. The competition welcomes players and teams from all over Sunshine Coast Region to register running Monday's 3:30-6:30pm commencing February 17.

Water Polo Queensland CEO, Mel Woosnam said, "We are looking forward to offering young people on the Sunshine Coast the opportunity to participate in a fun, affordable, and accessible competition that will foster their development in the sport. WPQ would also like to acknowledge the support and assistance of Sunshine Coast Water Polo and St. Andrew's Anglican College for their support in creating this new competition."

Sunshine Coast Water Polo President, Paul Coolican stated, "The U12 competition is securing the future of water polo on the Sunshine Coast and is an excellent opportunity to dove tail into the wonderfully successful school water polo competition held later in the year. Stepping stones like this can make Sunshine Coast a leader to the sport in Queensland and Australia."
